About Door #3

“And Behind Door #3 is… the rest of your life!”

These were gallery owner Benzi Henrich’s words when she found the perfect home for her inn and gallery, Door #3, in her hometown of Jamaica, Vermont. After spending much of her adult life in Colorado, it was time to return to the green mountains.

Benzi comes from a family with deep roots in the area and in the arts. Her parents, Emo and Ann Henrich, emigrated from Austria to Jamaica, VT, where they founded the ski school at Stratton Mountain. Coming from a long line of artists and art supporters, they passed their creative spirit on to Benzi. She grew up drawing and painting with her father, whose legacy continues to inspire her work.

Just down the road from where she spent her childhood, Door #3 has given Benzi the opportunity to honor her family’s history and share her dad’s landscape paintings with the world. The gallery blends her own eclectic vision with traditional Austrian influences, creating a warm and welcoming space full of character.

Today, Door #3 is more than a gallery—it’s a studio, a time capsule, and a gathering place. Visitors can browse fine art prints, explore local history, and experience a rotating collection of work that tells a story—from Emo Henrich’s classic landscapes to Benzi’s vibrant pastels inspired by her travels. Always cozy, always evolving, Door #3 is a celebration of community and creativity.

“I’ve always imagined myself running around an inn with purple hair and flowing robes helping guests be artistic, eat well, and of course drink (stay hydrated!). Due to family circumstances I have my fathers entire art collection to share and bring to the world and if I ever have time I’ll start painting again. I also have these other wonderful artist’s I want to display and show, and besides, you need a vacation!” -Benz
